MAEVA
She is also a cashier and a good friend of Carrie-Lou. Mysterious, proud and an inner rebel, she is also Carrie-Lou's dark angel. But their friendship is unquestionable.

NABIL
Maeva's boyfriend. He understands her problems and frustrations. Nevertheless, without any particular qualifications and jobless, he represents the excluded youth of modern society. He is violent, revolted and seems without hope.

SOUNDARI
Friend and confidante of both Carrie-Lou and Maeva. She wavers between the dreams of one and the demons of the other.

POGO
He is the store announcer at Paradise, in charge of the daily promotions. Smooth and self confident, totally integrated into "the system", he is everybody's "friend" and exudes a love of life against all odds. His magnificent motorbike is living proof of his professional success.

MR. TRASH
The Store Manager. Particularly authoritarian and inflexible. He keeps the whole company ticking over. He, of course, has the keys and opens the store every morning to greet the employees and every morning he sneers to Nabil, "ain't no job".
